DIY Parrot Costume and Makeup

Costume parties are so much fun! And with Halloween tomorrow, there are an abundance!

We love dressing up and getting creative. It lets us have fun with our hair and makeup and gives us an excuse to get crafty with what we have around the house (throw in some baking and you’d have all of our favorite things).

Our friend Erin called on us to find her a fun costume this year, so like usual we went to Pinterest to look for ideas. Since her only real specification was that she wanted to be colorful, we thought this would be a perfect opportunity to try out the ever-popular Pinterest hair chalk! We gathered all our creative juices to dream her up an easy, last-minute parrot costume including a colorful hair makeover! Here’s how we did it:

First, you’ll need to make the hair chalk. Here’s what you’ll need:

• Gloves
• Chalk
• A shirt you don’t mind getting chalk all over
• Water

Materials:

• Pink, Gold, Green, and Purple Eyeshadow
• Black Eyeliner
• Red Lipstick
• Feathers (optional for Hair)
