Good morning Shenani-readers! How do we feel about our new nickname? Meh… we’ll keep working on it.
It’s time for another holiday-inspired shenanigan, this time featuring our favorite dessert: brownies! We found these brownie Christmas trees on Pinterest and thought they would be a simple treat perfect for fitting in between family time, wrapping, shopping, and the Charlie Brown Christmas Special.
All you need for this shenanigan is:
- Candy Canes
- brownie mix
- Mini M&Ms
- green icing
Bake your brownie mix in a rectangular pan. Once the brownies are cooled, cut them into triangular shapes as shown below.
Cut your candy canes into pieces about 2 inches long.
Push the candy canes into the flat bottom of your brownie triangle. They will be the trunks of your trees!
Now, pipe your green icing in a zig-zag pattern onto your brownie triangles. This icing is your tinsel.
Now, use red Mini M&Ms as your ornaments.
All done! Here are Kristen and her brother, Clint, showing their Christmas spirit adorable aprons to match the brownies!
Special thanks to Clint for helping out, and Kristen’s Aunt Kathy who made that amazing apron from scratch just for shenanigans!
Just can’t get your fill of holiday shenanigans?
